Hello
Take a moment to read "my story" which details how and why I built my very own international student aid nonprofit organization (501-c3). Keep in mind that the current fundraising efforts serves to support five students in Haiti continue their educational pursuits, thank you for joining us in making this happen.

My Story
I believe education is the key to success, therefore, my organization aims to make it accessible to children around the world. I was motivated to develop this nonprofit due to my Haitian descent and knowing that as important as education is for progression and structure, it isn’t easily accessible to everyone. Therefore, when my high school provided the opportunity to work with the University of Pennsylvania’s Social Innovators Program which was designed for students to learn how to build a nonprofit or business with the guidance of two advisors and a cohort of students who were interested in entrepreneurship,I chose to build a nonprofit organization with the intent of helping Haiti become self-sufficient through education and hopefully other underdeveloped countries in the future as well. Since I was a child I remember hearing stories about the beauty and struggles of Haiti, which I finally bore witness to on my first trip to Haiti in 2017. Throughout the trip, I saw my family in the people I encountered, from the women merchants who seemed so in control to the children who worked in the streets without knowing if they would be paid. To know that I'm only a few generations away from that lifestyle, I've become very passionate about bettering our global community. That trip was eye opening and truly motivated me to develop the International Student Aid Association which I hope will be a lifetime project for me to pour into other students' educational success. Again, I found that Haiti is multifaceted and alongside its beauty lies a history of struggle which heavily impacts the political, social, and financial instability of the country today. However, my goal is to be a part of the solution by making an active effort to invest in the students, the future.
